Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of halal labeling on purchasing decisions for imported food, in this case the imported food in question is Mi Samyang in Makassar City. This sample was taken from 400 Muslim communities in Makassar City. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data obtained from questionnaires distributed by observation and distributing questionnaires. In this study, the data sources used in collecting data include primary data and secondary data. The number of samples used was 400 respondents obtained using the slovin formula. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression using SPSS version 24. The results of this study indicate that halal labeling (X) has a positive effect on purchasing decisions (Y) of imported Mi Samyang food in Makassar city, where consumers are more likely to choose imported food that has been labeled halal. Therefore, this research can be used as a reference for imported food entrepreneurs and food regulators in increasing consumer safety and trust.
